This week, it was rumoured that Apple was in talks with McLaren about a possible takeover. The reports were soon quashed by McLaren itself, and while that doesn’t rule out the possibility entirely, it’s probably best it doesn’t happen. After all, who knows what sort of ‘innovations’ Apple might bring to the McLaren stable given the chance.

This is all jokes and all, but a McLaren takeover would be post-colonialism. Engineers would be sapped from the company to work on Apple’s own projects, along with some of their revenues
