I’ve been into cars since a was little. My mothers car/”the family hauler” was a Volkswagen T3 Westfalia camper, and the only place my car seat could be mounted was on the front passenger seat, so i always sat op front and was able to look out the front window and follow what happend on the road. And the Westfalia was a 79’ model, So when i fell asleep in the car as a kid, i felt asleep to the lovely sound of the aircooled boxer engine. Also my father have a passion for cars to, when i was little, and my mothers car was the westfalia camper, my father had a slightly modified Morris Mini.
My interest started when my sister’s boyfriend drove me to school when I was 11. It was a Silver MK2 Golf with a real creacked exhaust snd a sweet set of saddle blankets. I can still remember how giddy I was when I got to school.
Toy cars, Top Gear, then bigger toy cars, then more Top Gear :)
My obsession that I have with cars started with my neighbor’s rusty 1956 Cadillac Deville which springboarded me into car culture but I’ve loved cars since a toddler.
My first word was “car.” My family told me that single word would be my only form of communication for the next 3-4 months till I learned “mommy” and “daddy” lol.
My uncle had a Mustang when I was 2-3 years old. Ever since then, it was my goal for my first car to be a Mustang. It sort of just progressed from there, I guess. Now I own a Mustang.
When my dad bought his 91 mustang gt when i was like 11 and we worked on it together
Started off as a 4x4 obsession about two years ago, moved on to road cars about a year ago. It’s been all-consuming ever since.
Back when I was in elementary school, my grandpa bought a 94 Mustang GT 5speed coupe in red. Because of his job he was away from home a lot my mom decided to daily that car. Keeping in mind this was around 2005, everyone except me and him thought it was a piece of trash, but we modded the living heck out of that thing, and that was literally my inspiration for looking into and loving cars. These days, he drives a 94 convertible GT automatic (due to his knee) and I have been helping him with it ever since…
At 18 months old I was shouting the logo names of parked cars from my pram as we walked by… I think thats where it came from .
