Mostly came from my Dad. He owned a Toyota Carina E 1.6, which had some nice 5 spoke wheels. They were cars that were reliable and it just looked different from what everybody else had. It reached 160,000 miles until it got stolen.
I dunno really when I was small I used to own a bag of toy cars and I bring my mum around to see the car brands and when I drove properly that’s when v - tec kicked in properly then I started looking up how everything worked in a car and that’s it
Dad is a qualified mechanic, and we would work on his 1986 Holden Commodore VL whenever it needed work, and i got pulled in from that. He then got me a white 1987 Commodore VL a couple of months afsnter, which we worked on, then the car died, and ended up getting a 1990 Toyota Corolla Seca, which is an awesome first car, even though it is FWD (I was able to drive until I got the Corolla, so the VL wasn’t my first drivable car)
Was playing with a little matchbox car I found out in the yard. Was about 6 or 7 I suppose so about 1999. I made it my business to learn the name of the car which was written on the bottom, as we all should know. Lam….bor…ghini…..Diablooo. Didn’t leave my side for months.
It all began when my brother bought me a PS2 when it came out. It started with Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2. It really took off at Under Ground 1 & 2.
my dad
When dad bought me a mustang as a graduation gift for getting an engineering degree.
Ever since I was three years old, I just loved cars. I would name makes, models, and would always read the magazines. (how I learned to read proficiently)
My father had a renault 5 at the time he met my mother, and he used to talk to me about the car, and i spent hours listening to the stories and i was amazed by them. One time my neighbour, a mechanic, bought a renault 5 gt turbo, blue with now red rims, and everytime i saw it, i remembered the stories my father told me when i was young, and from there i decided to learn more about cars, and everytime i see that renault, i remember how much i like cars xD (he now stores it in his garage, since his daughter had an accident with it and he isnt finished fixing it, its pretty much this one with red rims)
Playing grand turismo 2, on playstation one at the age of 7 years old =)
