Abarth Works Museum in Lier, Belgium... Many quick, little Italians
Since I bought my A112 Abarth I gained a bit more interest in these little troublemakers, so when I learned that pretty close to where my parents live there was supposed to be an Abarth Museum, I thought why not bring it a quick visit. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera and had to use my phone which did not really like the lighting in this place. But as can be seen from the pictures, there are a lot of Abarths in this collection. Apart from the A112’s, there were Lombardi Grand Prix’ (never heard of those..) Fiat 131’s, 127’s, 124’s, 500’s, Ritmo’s, X1/9’s… Most of them modified and in a reasonable condition, some waiting to be restored, some with outrageous bodykits (X1/9 Prototipo replica for example) but anyway it is a really cool bunch of cars together in an sizeable hangar, which will easily keep you entertained for an hour or two. There was also a nice rack of (small and wide) wheels too, from which I wouldn’t mind owning a set or two…
When spring will come to Holland again, I think I will drive my own Abarth down to Belgium sometime and pay another visit. And this time I will not forget my camera..
