2000 Jaguar XK8 (X100) convertible

This is a stock Jaguar XK8 convertible, possibly one of the most beautiful cars on the road. When new it made 290 HP and 290 lb-ft of torque. I’ve only ever seen a handful of these in the island and none for sale.

I have worked on this triple black Jaaaag enough to have made it reliable. A reliable 15 y/o Jag, yup it’s possible. Such a beast required much preventative maintenance. Because I am a student living off of my scholarships, I have learned my way with tools to save myself money.

The modifications I have in mind are mostly cosmetic. I plan on reworking the exhaust by replacing the center resonator with an X-pipe, removing the two before rear axle mufflers and replacing the post rear axle mufflers with magnaflows. Later I would like to change the cats for Nameless Performance 200 cell cats. I plan on eventually installing an LSD. If I still have the car after I finish med school, I will upgrade to Brembos. I also want to black out the inside of my headlights and install the smoked taillights of the Victory Edition XK8. I would also love to upgrade the wheels to a nice 19” set.

However, if I have the opportunity to buy an XKR, then the R would get the upgrades mentioned and a new twin screw supercharger.

What I have done in upgrades so far has been polyurethane bushings, and a new paintwork. Along with the paintwork I removed the four guard trim to clean up the look. The car has Anthracite black metallic paint (Jaguar OEM color) with Dorchester grey window trim and titanium silver Revolver wheels. The interior is Charcoal black with Burk Walnut wood and a brushed aluminum shifter trim plate. I want to paint the headliner black and have the A pillars redone in black suede.

I love this car more than my girlfriend.
