1990 Mercedes Benz W201 190 2.6 Turbo
Bought this car a couple of months ago, a Mercedes W201 190E 2.6. It has megasquirt and turbo installed, welded diff, and it was dynoed to 300hp. That was reason enough for me to buy it. The car ran great, and was real fun to drift with, but sadly the fun only lasted for 3 days.
There was a loud “boom” and I diddnt understand at first what happened. The car started, and was drivable, but obviously i understood something was wrong. I disambeled the engine, and this is what i found..
The next engine will be Mercedes M103 3.0Turbo or Chevrolet 5.7 Big Block dragster engine

Ouch
make it a 3.0 and retain the turbo and efi
I already got a 3.0 laying around, so I might do that. But my friend has a 5.7 bigblock that produces 470hp, which I could get real cheap! So im still not sure what to do haha
put 3.0 turbo
Why not 5.7 v8? they both tempts me, and i might supercharge the v8
Why don’t put the v8 from c 63 amg? Sorry i don’t know the engine series of mercedes brand.
If you took the time and read your know he can get the Chevy Big Block for cheap. Not everyone is made of money dude.
A c63 engine in norway is not cheap, probably $10k. The chevy engine Im takling about is for sale for about $3000. Its been used in a drag car, so the engine is built properly, the transmisson is also good on it.
There is alot of engines to choose from, just need to find the one I can fit properly, and find parts for easily
Wow. Complete failure. Ouch.
Still not sure if I should upgrade the exterior or keep it stock. A sleeper is always cool, but this will be a track car, so I havent really decided on that either. Any thoughts?
