1989 Chevrolet C1500 Cheyenne 2wd

This truck means a lot to me, it really does. This was my first manual transmission vehicle which I learned how to drive stick on. This is my restoration project I hope to mod with parts seen on a 88-98 Chevy truck. Also this is the vehicle that made me a car enthusiast, which led to making some really cool friends and spectating some really awesome events.

Anyways some info about the truck: It was made in 1989 when Chevrolet just introduced its new (at the time) Vortec head which allows the fuel and air to swirl creating an even fuel to air mixture, this led to more power and increased fuel economy. The Cheyenne was the base model truck in the line up, this one has the 4.3L engine with 4 speed w/ overdrive or 5 speed based on terminology preference. It offers roll down windows, a rear sliding cab window, an 8ft bed, 2 wheel drive (for tire shredding), and and a easy to clean floor liner. I upgraded the bench seat to a 60/40 out of a Silverado from the time (88-98). I also upgraded my wheels to the Chevy rally wheels with chrome trim rings. I took the truck to a shop to have all the rust removed and replaced with actual metal NO BONDO, and the frame was coated with a rust protective material designed to eliminate current rust and to preserve the metal from future rust. I hope to fully restore her back to her former glory but for now she still runs like a champ since the day I got her.
