1984 Ford Capri 2.0S

Here is my freshly restored Ford Capri MKIII 2.0s. It’s been taken from bare shell up, so hopefully not too much more to do… yeah right! It’s been fully sprayed in Cardinal Red, and have had it on the road now for 6 months, constantly improving things as I go along. The engine is a standard bore 2.0 Pinto, though its fitted with a big valve head off a injection Sierra, Kent Fast Road Cam, 38DGAS Weber carb, K&N filter, electronic Powerspark distributor, sports coil, silicone HT leads, a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold leading into a full PowerFlow stainless steel exhaust system. Standard ‘S’ styling on the exterior, with a respray carried out around a year ago. New decal kit, smoothed look bumpers with no overriders, resprayed and refurbished 7X13 Compomotive MS wheels. Interior is again mainly standard ‘S’, with a lovely complete Strobe Fishnet Recaro interior. Steering wheel from a MkII ‘S’ with the sports centre cap with the flags on it also. Uncut dash fascia, with the original radio, which still works. Austin Princess 4 pot calipers on the front, with the spacer kit to take 2.8 vented discs. 2.8 drum brake setup on the rear. Landrover master cylinder also. Completely polybushed throughout, with new 2.8 single leaf springs at the back, 2.8 bilsteins at the front. 1 and 3/4 inch drop at the back to get the rake just right. New uprated gas shocks on the rear. 2.8 ARB setup on the front also. Full axle location kit fitted at the rear, to stiffen things up a bit in the corners. Also have a 2.8 power steering rack and crossmember in the workshop to try and engineer into the car with an electric steering pump at some stage!
