This Is The Enormous Effort That Went Into Making Climbkhana
As was probably apparent when you watched it for the first time, making Ken Block’s ‘Climbkhana’ video involved more than just strapping a few GoPros to the 1400bhp ‘Hoonicorn’. A lot more, in fact.
This new behind-the-scenes video shows the incredible effort involved in making the film. The crew had to go to Pikes Peak on three separate occasions spaced months apart, with filming interrupted by crazy changes in weather and mechanical issues. Hence why we were waiting so long for the final video to come out…
In the behind-the-scenes video, Block describes the driving he had to do as “some of the sketchiest stuff I’ve ever done,” and yes, that moment with two wheels on the dirt is mentioned, which he calls “the gnarliest moment I’ve ever had in my entire career.”

Awd drive, make a wet/snow gyhmkhana
I’ve not even watched it
Look at all those tyre marks from previous attempts! It would be good to see him do a one take run.
Just wanna say, ken block is an incredible driver. For anyone to say that he did multiple takes so he’s fake is just wrong. He does multiple takes because it’s hard. And that shows that weather is a jerk when filming.
Huge respect for that guy.
He’s the one that made me appreciate the wheelspin in slowmo and gopro filming, but at the same time since Gymkhana 5 I think it’s getting boring, yes, I like the stunts and his driving skills, I liked Gk 9, but Dubai and this one, almost seem like trying too much, emotionless perhaps?
-It’s a personal opinion-
I would’ve liked it more if he just drove up there in his style in the Quattro Pikes Peak, but it was awesome nonetheless
