Forza Motorsport Introductory: 1967 Dodge Coronet WO23

Today I created yet again another post for the Forza introductory, but I decided to post in the gaming community as the last post wasn’t viewed by much and also because this post is about a car that will be in an upcoming game. To anyone who’s new this segment, the Forza Introductory is a series of posts about cars from the Forza garage that haven’t been in the last two games and may be new to everybody. The segment states ten quick facts about the cat to get everyone familiar with it. Without further delay let’s learn about the Coronet.
• The cars were built on a Sunday by management personnel to avoid disrupting the regular build schedule and avoid paying for overtime workers.
• The 1967 Coronet WO23 marked Chrysler’s return to the NHRA scene after taking the prior year off due to Ford’s tube chassis car.
• Only 55 WO23 cars were built for SS/B Racing (Showroom Stock B class)
• Only 16 had the four speed manual.
• All were painted white.
• A massive hood scoop fed air to dual barrel carbs.
• It was built without sound insulation, body sealer, hubcaps, radio, heater, weather stripping, spare tire and jack, windshield wipers, and no front sway bar (it didn’t have the sway bar as it would be redundant on a drag prepped car.) Weight reduction bro.
• At one period it was known as “The Avenger.”
• Warren Barnett, one of 55 owners, prepped a WO23 for SS/B, which set a class record at Pelion, South Carolina.
• Barnett, who was also one of 16 four speed manual owners, said that picking the manual was “the worse mistake (he) ever made” as they were harder to be consistent in than the automatics.
Well that concludes the Forza Introductory for the Coronet, but feel free to find more information about it in the following links.

For reference, the car in Forza 4 was SS/BA spec with the 3-speed auto, 8 3/4” axle and 4.857 rear end ratio.
