Watch This 1500bhp Nissan GT-R Blitz The 1/4 Mile In 6 Secs

We're not sure if this drag monster still qualifies as an R35 GTR, but damn, it's fast...

If you thought the new Nismo Nissan GT-R looked quick, you ain't seen nothing yet. This Factory Extreme class creation by Godzilla Motorsport could well be the world's fastest GT-R.

In the first video showing its shakedown run, the car manages a relatively modest (for the class, at least) 9.26 quarter-mile time. However, the second clip shows a much stronger performance, with the GT-R bagging a time of 6.93 secs. With some tweaks, there's no doubt this GT-R dragster could give us something in the low sixes.

The question is, can you still call it a GT-R? The car still runs an original VR38 3.8-litre V6 - albeit with some massive modifications to help it blast out an estimated 1500hp. But we doubt there's much of the original chassis going on underneath - certainly from the front it looks like a space-frame - and the body is now fibreglass, mocked up to look like the road-going GT-R.

Regardless, we still think it's pretty damn impressive.
