loved cars since i can remember. when i was a kid i played that i was a car all day long :D all i was thinking about where cars and today this is still the case when i was 11 a friend of my mom asked me if i wanted to drive a car and i said yes of course so he showed me how to drive in my moms car (Opel Agila with a 3 cyl, no power steering, no abs and so on :D) and she didnt knew anything about ist and when i got better and better i showed her that i could drive a car. after that i wanted to drive every car thats possible to drive (on forest roads and stuff like this) so i had driven 13 cars before i got my drivers license in oct. last year. Now i am waiting for my 18th birthday because then i can drive cars without my parents and can get myself a car as soon as possible cars are the best things in the world i am so glad to have found this page because non of my friends is a car guy and its nice to have a opportunity to go on this website and see that i am not alone :D greetings from germany and sorry for my bad english :)
To many Hot Wheels and Need For Speed when I was younger.
from what I remember, I got my enthusiasm from everywhere. First time I got contact with car is when I was 2 or 3. My father used to have a Honda Life. As a kid I play around with gear levers and steering wheel (engines off) and helped my father when he fixed it. When I was 5, I saw modified car for the first time (it’s such an unusual thing in our country), car is blown V8 chevy luv. When I was 8, I watched sports news showing a JGTC car, which later I found out it was Xanavi Nismo R34. I also grew my enthusiasm from Video Games, I know 787B from Gran Turismo 3 and become a fan of side exhaust thanks to NASCAR video games.
When I was like 5 my uncle handed me down his model cars. I started with a Lamborghini Countach, Dodge Viper and a yellow Porsche. My earliest memories were pretending to top up the oil on those cars with a carton of Ribena and a straw ha! Then I got the old top gear videos where Clarkson had and impressive perm and he was driving my cars! Mind = blown. Then it was Need For Speed Hot Pursuit dream cars were Lambo Diablo SV and Porsche 911 Turbo. Worshipped supercars up until when I first watched The Fast and The Furious the Supra beat the Ferrari, I called bullshit, researched on the internet and was hit with Top Secret Supra’s and the JUN Superlemon Skyline. Then I was hooked on Japanese cars and have been ever since they was a more realistic chance of me owning them than the Supercars. Cars are a great motivator for me too. I used to mess around at school and then realised to own a cool car I need a good job. My two project cars are my old 98 Honda Civic VTI-S running approx 190bhp and my current 98 Toyota Celica GT4 (all Trac) ST205 running 300bhp (for now) ;)
I think it started when i held an old dusty clutch that my dad had "stored" when i was 8.I didn't even know what a clutch was back then, but after that i seemed to be glued to our four wheeled babies. I looked at them differently. The noise they made wasn't so bad and the petroleum actually smelled good to me! And then everything boomed when i moved to America. We got a computer, and I started playing NFS world for three months, started binge watching car videos in channels like MCM, /DRIVE, Top Gear, Motorz, ETCG, Engineering Explained, etc. And then i started collecting car stuff i found when i walked around the block. wheel weights, worm clamps, etc. Then the tools. I am the only one in my family who goes for the auto department when we arrive at the supermarket... and faps when he sees a nice ride.
Engineering Explained is really amazing.
Engieering Explained is really awesome.
My father once took me in his 2012 ford fusion sel (280 hp) and took me to an empty parking lot, covered in snow and let me drift it. I didn’t really know what I was doing but I executed a handbrake drift around a lightpost and the feeling i got after I executed it was like nothing else, and at that point I knew, I was obsessed
Hundreds of Hot Wheels cars and my dad always having some sort of project car in the back yard.
My cousin had a BMW E30 325i coupe . it was abandoned in his front yard . one day he recharged the battery started it up revved the engine and started burning rubber , making donuts and drifting . it was the best thing i ever saw , i just fell in love
Mine started to through Formula 1. Always loved the cars and drivers of F1. Watching the Singapore GP live added to the passion.
