Best friends brother had a 500whp Porsche 944 turbo S, in mint condition. From there it just took off.

Daniel Fittipaldi Pronto

My grandfather used to have a great collection of cars, one of which was a Datsun 210 Rally Car, which I only drove once. When he died in 2010, the legacy of his love for cars was left behind for someone else to take on. So I, Daniel Fittipaldi Pronto, decided to take on the challenge of fixing up his old Datsun. I haven’t done much, but I hope that I will be able to one day show this car to my children and say that this car was their great-grandfather’s. I hope that I’ll be able to finish it, because it is my one true love.

I always had a vague imterest when I was really little for I loved hotwheels and flashy cars. It all really started when I was around the age of 12 or 13, my uncle rolled his 1985 Toyota Hilux/Pickup and needed a hand. I was on summer break, so he choose me. He shown me how to drop am engine/transmission, lift a cab and bed off a chassis, how to remove shocks and springs, etc. Then he shown me and let me help with rebuilding that Lil old pickup. When my father found out about this project (divorced parents, dad was rarely around) he started to involve himself in my life. He, his best friend and I started to build derby cars, go to shows, attend races, etc. Now I’m here at 20, and still attend all those events for the nostalgia factor, and because it’s what I became passionate about.

Saw a silver Lamborghini Diablo when I was 6 years old. It was just cruising slowly around a bend and looked absolutely beautiful. After that I was obsessed with cars in general.

I was 8 years old and my dad and I were driving down the road heading back home. We ended up stopping at a car show. My dad and I spent the next 3 hours walking through the rows of chargers, challengers, cudas, mustangs, and a few of the older JDM Heros. We got back into his car and headed home, all I could think about was the cars.
