JDM 2010 Toyota Mark X Review

When the 2010 Mark X came out, It promised to be sharper, more powerful and striking at the first glance.

Sharing the same rear platform from the Toyota Crown and the Lexus GS, it has been gifted to be a true drivers car and the interior has been updated to be more upscale with wood and chrome trim.

Two engines are being offered, a 2.5L V6 that makes 203HP and a 3.5L making 318HP mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters to for manual mode. The sad part is that AWD system only comes in the 2.5L only.

Three modes are the in all Mark X Model

SNOW: Weather in rear wheel drive or AWD, the power torque is being sent to the required tire to maintain traction on snow, rain or when on high speed drive.

ECO: It optimizes the engine to run more economical after all fuel prices are still high in mombasa.

SPORT: It spices the throttle and gear changes so everything is instant, you will be confident when overtaking a Sunday driver!

Another very helpful technology is the Radar Cruise Control with brake control function. It maintains a distance and speed and breaks when the car in front starts slowing, it reduces the concentration needed while driving.

For new drivers, you will not embarrassed in front of your friends because the Hill start Assist Control. It works when the car senses that you are on a gradient of 3% or more so it holds the car for two seconds after leaving the clutch brake giving you time to apply power.

At the end of the day, Its a sports salon for a company car, a first car for a new dad or rental car not knowing he will fall in love with. It has decent boot space, it seats 5 people at comfort, you can drive your kids to school too!. I haven’t driven it but when I get the chance I will do a video about it.
