Are LS1,2,3 Engines legal in Australia (NSW)?

I am fully aware of the hate towards LS swaps and I am probably not going to do one in the near future but I was wondering if it is legal in NSW Australia?

I think its legal since you guys had so many cars with LS engines like the Holden Monaro VXR (I think)

yeah you can engine swap anything in NSW but you need an approved engineers certificate to register it.

It would be dumb if it wasnt legal, because Holden put one in there newest Commodore.

Yes yes yes of course yes! LS engines have been in V8 Commodores since the Series II VT in about 1999. Unless you want to put it in a Nissan or a Mazda RX-7, then it’s highly illegal and you can get life in jail. Like all ready stated you’ll need to get it engineered.

Why is it different for Nissans or Rx-7s? Look If I were to put it in anything I would but it in a BRZ (my dream/end goal car).
