2012 Volkswagen Scirocco R
This is my beloved 2012 Scirocco R.
I bought the car just over 2 years ago and have been enjoying it ever since. Prior to this I had a somewhat modified AP1 S2000 which I used daily for 6 years. As I got older and needed a bit more space and practicality, I (hesitantly) decided to part ways with the S2000 and get something else. I’m very specific about the kind of thing I want out of my car, and above all things, it had to be ‘pretty’ to my eye. I want to get up every day and be glad I get to drive this car. It also had to be relatively fast and I wanted four seats, which is how I landed on this Viper Green Scirocco R. I still remember the first time I saw it sitting in the VW showroom. I knew as soon as I saw this car, that it had to be mine. And so it was.
Since getting the car these are the mods I have so far:
- Wheels Powder Coated - Gloss Black
- CTS Turbo CAI
- H&R Lowered Springs - 30mm
- Zimmermann Drilled Front Rotors - Akebono Pads
- GIAC Stage 1 Software
Eventually (soon), I’ll be taking the car to a Stage 2+ tune with all of the associated goodies and I think that will be the end of the mods as I do daily this car and it gets driven a fair bit. So far though, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. Its good on fuel (provided you don’t have lead for feet), is genuinely fast and crucially, it looks magnificent :)

Beautiful! Ugh, I wish we had the Scirocco in the US. Oh, and thank you for not cheaping out and Plasti-Dipping your wheels, haha.
Thanks man! Yeah powder coat looks much better than Plasti-Dip. Especially in the gloss black!
Nice :D
Cheers!
hey haha I’ve seen that one around I think. Or one like it?
Are you in Melbourne? Youve likely seen me in the northern suburbs ☺

Thanks I’ll try to get some more up soon
What is the actual fuel economy?
I average between 8l to 11l per 100km combined city and highway.
