2003 Citroen Saxo 1.1 Desire

I know what you’re thinking, “A Saxo? but it’s shit and offers the same protect in a crash as a carrier bag!”
I know that, because I first thought that when I saw them years ago.
This car has alot of history, it was originally owned by my Dad and then he passed it on to me. I learned clutch control in this car and then eventually became the owner, it was a terrific moment.
My personality changed, I fell in love with the car and had a smile every time I drove it, it was simple and fun filled, it was like driving a grown-up go-kart. It was comfortable, surprisingly spacious and quick, not exactly supercar quick, but not a slouch either. The MPG was brilliant too, when I wasn’t driving in an enthusiastic matter she got 45MPG. I was ecstatically happy with my little motor, driving through a country road was sublime, parking was a doddle, all-round visibility was excellent, the only thing that was really missing was some aviators and the sound-track from the Italian Job. But of course, all stories have their down-points don’t they.
You see this is the only car I’ve ever had in the past 3 years and the last time I drove it was 3 years ago…when I crashed it.
Hitting a grass verge, going up on two wheels and then ramming through head first into a fence, bush, between two trees and then going 12ft into a field. I tried to save the slide I was in, but it was over quicker than I’d last with Emma Watson in bed.
The day that car died, a little part of me died too.
I’d recommend a Saxo, but just not this one as it’s a little…broken.
I know some of you are still thinking I must of been on the same drugs as the creators of Ed,Edd and Eddy used for how much I loved this little Burgundy red Saxo. But honestly, she was the best car I’ll ever have or drive.
Thanks guys.
