— NRK (@NRKno) January 1, 2016This empty shell is all that remains of a 2014 Tesla Model S after it burnt to the ground while being charged in Norway. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, but is being investigated.
The incident happened when the owner of the Model S plugged it in and left it for charging. On returning a short time later, the car was engulfed in flames. Firefighters had to use a special foam to combat the flames and to make the lithium batteries safe.
Luckily, nobody was injured.

According to the newspost, it says that they can’t use water to extinguish electric cars becuase of the lithium batteries, so they have to use some kind of special foam, and that made the extuingishing very hard because they’re not used electric car fires in that part of Norway. Atleast that’s how i understood it and tried my best to translate :)
