U know every car has engine carrier…and with off-road vehicles you can see the metal which is carrying the engine.

I was actually wondering a similar thing, because the weight distribution seems terrible with the engine placed behind the rear axle. But after a few extremely simplified calculations, it’s actually not that bad, seeing this is the only spot such a massive engine can be placed.

So, I’m all in favour of having fun, but maybe San Diego is not the place for that type of driving?? It’s SoCal, how far away are the nearest dunes? I mean, come on, let’s go FULL BAJA.

The soundtrack alone for this video is awesome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-s1JGFjzqUo

While this sort of stuff is cool to watch, it’s crap like this that gives car guys a bad name.

If this was staged then I’m totally fine about it but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Its this dangerous behaviour that not only give us a bad name as you said but it also shows how a pack of morons can endanger the lives of other road users just because they think it fun and will get them lots of views.

The video was staged. They had to get permission from the San Diego PD. Also, it’s easy to tell without knowing that because of all the cameramen put right in the best places to get the angles for the video, and those sponsors wouldn’t attach themselves to a video where illegal activity like that is going on. Their lawyers would kick and scream over it.
