Novitec Has Tuned A Tesla Model S, And It's Surprisingly Restrained

This Model S from Novitec has been given some (relatively) subtle aesthetic upgrades
Novitec Has Tuned A Tesla Model S, And It's Surprisingly Restrained

We’ve always assumed that ‘subtlety’ isn’t a word that Novitec understands. The tuner’s vehicles usually are all about wide arches, big suspension drops and massive wheels.

The tuner’s latest effort is based on a Tesla Model S, and it has, well… a big suspension drop and massive wheels. But for a Novitec car, it’s surprisingly restrained. We rather like it, actually.

The forged ‘NV2’ wheels have been developed in collaboration with US company Vossen, and they measure 21 inches in diameter - no bigger than the largest wheel option offered by Tesla itself.

We also have a new front splitter, while at the rear there’s a cheeky little lip spoiler and a new diffuser. The side skirts are new, too.

If your Model S is running on pneumatic suspension, Novitec will happily drop it by 40mm to give you the kind of stance you see in these images. Or if your car has air suspension, the German tuner will fit a special module that works with the existing system to drop the ride by 25mm.

Novitec isn’t offering a power upgrade (the pokier versions of the Model S are arguably fast enough already) but there is a carbon ceramic brake option, if you’re tempted.

What do you think of Novitec’s fettled Model S?

That looks so cool. The Tesla Model S wasn’t an exactly ugly car to begin with, but it’s incredible what a huge difference a small suspension drop and larger wheels can make sometimes.

Sooooo, what they just did

Was swap out the standard Duracells for a Duracell Ultra and put some Fancy wheels?

Uhmm, why again?
The Tesla’s aren’t the sharpest in handling, so unless that’s fixed, it’s just gonna be a battery change to me
