Had plenty of time to slow down, if he wasn’t adjusting his camera/visor at the very beginning of the video. Rule #1 of driving/riding: Always keep both hands on the handlebar/steering wheel at all times and be alert to your surroundings. There’s an occasional idiot or an animal that’s going to hop into your path at some point in life. Always be ready for it.

On what planet? the car started moving somewhere in the 0 seconds region and the bike hit the car somewhere in the 2 seconds region, human reaction time while driving is on average longer than 2 seconds (source http://copradar.com/redlight/factors/), to stand a chance of stopping in time he would need a reaction time of 0. Humans aren’t robots. This is why you are supposed to turn right (in left driving countries) / turn left (in right driving countries) with care and not give people a reason to need to brake.

And of course the asshat in the car had to stop in the middle of the road instead of speeding up to try and avoid the bike hitting him….good thing the rider saw this coming and was able to get in the breaks or it could have been a lot worse
