Forza 7's December Car Pack Has A Jeep Trackhawk And A Rubbish Name

Forza Motorsport 7s December DLC pack has been revealed and it’s safe to say that the new cars (not all of which are revealed in the trailer) are something of an eclectic bunch.

At one end of the scale is the 697bhp 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. At the other, the legendary, skinny-tyred, positive-cambered 1926 Bugatti Type 35, winner of over 1000 races in period and the oldest car ever to appear in the Forza franchise.

Joining the Jeep is another super SUV in the name of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, whilst the inclusion of a 1985 Nissan Safari makes it three off-roaders in one pack.

If you’re expecting more new stuff though, forget it. Appearing alongside the Bugatti in the classic race car department is the 1962 Porsche 804 - the only Porsche ever to win a round of the Formula One World Championship - and the 1939 BMW 328, a lightweight sports car legend which as success in the likes of the Targa Florio, RAC Rally, and Le Mans 24 Hours.

Rounding out the pack is the 1955 Chevrolet 150 Sedan, a car ripe for hot-rodding if ever there was one. For posterity, here’s the full list:

  • 1926 Bugatti Type 35
  • 1939 BMW 328
  • 1955 Chevrolet 150 Utility Sedan
  • 1962 Porsche 804
  • 1985 Nissan Safari
  • 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk
  • 2018 Porsche Cayenne
Porsche took its only F1 win as a constructor with this, the 804

Yeah, kind of what Forza 4 and the prev. gen games had-civilian cars that we actually saw on the roads. I mean, it’s never a bad thing to add some vehicles from the 30’s, 50’s, and 80’s…but they aren’t “ordinary” enough!
And then there’s GT, it’s got a plenty of “civilian” cars.

Well…there aren’t really any rotary cars here, sadly!

Turn 10: alright, what should we do for FM7’s car pack.

Some guy: I know, we should add all the cars that Horizon 3 should’ve had, and give Horizon 3 a bunch of Motorsport racing cars!

Turn 10: you’re hired.

Still not buying it. A waste of £40 and 99GB.

Am I the only one angered over the sheer amount of Off-roaders in Forza Motorsport series? Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE offroaders, but doesnt it seem a bit wrong to have them in a game with ONLY pavement roadcoarses and a couple of Ovals? Atleast if they are going to include vehicles like this, they should include offroad courses.

I know I’m going to get a lot of hate for this but the only car I hate in this is the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. We already have the past cayenne so why can’t the previous one be replaced upon the game’s launch.

I’m glad about the antique cars because it adds variety to the game. Especially the Bugatti because that makes it so that the manufacturer isn’t just a two car show like it’s been since FM4 with the Veyron and EB110.

The Porsche 804 was bound to come into the game one way or another since it’s Porsche’s only F1 car.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk I think is an awesome addition being a TRACK ORIENTED SUV. I’ve seen Tomcat’s video on the Trackhawk and it actually has a strong turn in response upon braking.

Skipping the Chevy 150 because it’s basically a slow Bel air. I mean there’s really no need for it.

Lastly there is the Nissan Safari. I view this as the oddity car of the pack because it’s a Japanese Bronco and Scout, you can take the back off and put an exposed roll cage to make it look more like an old Jeep. Again Tomcat did a video on this making a drift build and it can do it, but you’ll be in 6th for most of the way. Also we liked oddity cars from FM6 like the Isetta (powered by a motorcycle engine) and the Mercedes Benz racing truck. So why not the Nissan Safari?

I’m not criticizing anyone for hating this car pack. But I just love oddities in racing games because it’s something different for you to play around with.
