Yellow Perfectionist : Turbocharge Proton Satria Neo
We Malaysian have many things to be proud of such as we have the best Satay in Kajang, the longest Malaysian Flag ever made in Papar and not to forget we have our very own local car around. Though our local car manufacturer often strive to be realistic and practically collaborating with foreign counterparts when it come designing our cars, we Malaysian once in a while come with our original material. The Satria Neo is one of the few jewels of our local car manufacturing achievement and probably something that we could choose to proud of.
The Proton Satria Neo, a compact hatch that’s claimed to be mildly sporting, was first introduced in 2007. It may be not a high performance car but it’s our first national has its own design and engine, namely the CamPro engine. Yet this model has brought a new phenomenon in the development of modifications in our country. From this result of fame in the past 9 years, the Satria Neo is also known in the world of rally and the Malaysian Super Series. For some petrol heads, not all will retain their original engine especially when it is an N/A, the engine inside this car is power by forced induction or in other words, bolt on turbo.
