Volvo S70 2.5 TDI Tunable?

I currently own a bonestock s70 with a 5cyl 2.5 diesel and a manual. 140hp/290Nm. I love the mileage it gets (5.6l/100km) because i travel at least 600km a week.

So without raising the highway fuel consumtion too much, aaand on a budget, is there anything i can do?

Oh and my country prohibits most modifications or you need expensive tests, so anything sneaky and simple is appreciated ;)

Here in the Netherlands we have Volvotune. They have tuned my V70 2.4T, you could sent them a mail but I guess it will be a bit to far for you from Switzerland. If you tune it right you have more power with less fuel consumption. Because the optimize the ecu. I haven’t regret it so far.

Chip tuning. I got mine V70 TDi from 140 to 170bhp and better mileage as well.
I got about 0.5l less than before.

How much did you pay for it? The cheapest offer i found was around 1500 €, without registration…

Because i have an old diesel without common rail, its not that easy to “just” chip it. The injection time and the ammount of fuel is only slightly variable and therefore you wont get big results. The easyiest way to upgrade power and torque is by getting a bigger turbo and injectors - and that is really expensive…

Those old TDi diesels is very good for tuning. My old one had ~200bhp. Stock turbo just new injectors.
Now i have stock tdi engine with ~155 bhp. But i don’t like this chip (remap). Last time i got 170 bhp from stock engine. But this engine was done in different shop.

Evry mod. Its exactly the same as chiptuning but if you can solder and read instructions it will only cost you like 10$. You get a nice rise of power and some blacksmoke.
