Time we get a little serious (briefly), so here's a guide on fitments.

First of all I want to start off by mentioning that I understand people don’t like advertising, I get it, but ultimately people who are interested in the Disklok will find this information useful. So while this is advertising, at the same time it is helpful information that you NEED before you purchase the Disklok, so please don’t hate me! :(

When you purchase any wheel lock, with the exception of ours, typically it comes in one size. It’s a bar that has nooks that wedge the bar on tight, so it can fit itself to the wheel without needing measurements. The Disklok is designed to be impenetrable, this means that one size will not fit all. For example, if you get a large for a car that needs a small, a simple crowbar behind the Disklok will free it or with a too small Disklok will be tight and allow steering, so this is no good which is why it’s important that you measure your own steering wheel.

Measuring is easy. There’s only one you need. To find out what Disklok you need it is vital to have the diameter of the steering wheel. We get lots of customers every day who phone up and specify their car thinking this is enough. We have no access to manufacturer systems, therefore we cannot know if different years would require different sized Diskloks.

So the very first step you need to do is measure the wheel left to right. That’s it. Then there’s only three different sizes, by now you’re probably aware it’s Small, Medium and Large. Small will fit 35 – 38.9cm, Medium 39 – 41.5cm and Large 41.5 – 44cm.

Odds are you’re RHD, as we are based in England, but we do supply LHD should you require this. The only difference between the two is the direction of the top bar, to avoid it catching. The final thing to do is choose which colour you want, Silver or Yellow. Typically people like silver, it blends in and is subtle. BUT we actually suggest the Yellow, we are a known brand by thieves and the sooner they see the giant UFO on your wheel the further away they’ll stay from the car.

Then that’s it, you now have the right Disklok for yourself. Once you receive it there is only the matter of installation.

As you can see in the video it takes less than 20 seconds to fit on, and obviously the more you use it the quicker you’ll be. When putting it on the wheel, the bar along the top has a rod inside which allows the different Diskloks to offer a wider range of fitments. When you pull this bar it will tug the Disklok into itself, making it tighter and ensuring it fits the wheel properly. You WANT the Disklok to be loose(ish), this means that thieves can’t start the car and drive off, as they’ll have to be going in a straight line to be successful.

Should you have any questions whatsoever, you are welcome to ask them below.

We offer a 10% off for all CTzen’s, so if you are interested in picking one up, please make sure that you do use this code, as it will save you a decent amount of money to put towards car parts!

I like the yellow because it looks so stupid it’ll deter anyone who hasn’t heard of it from trying to break into your car too.

That’s exactly why we like it too. Silver is good, and definitely scares people off, but the yellow one stops people even approaching because it’s so obvious

There’s a bit of a shipping charge to America so we recommend using our sister company www.festive-lights.com which cheapens the cost, 10% still applies but isn’t set up so we would ask you let us know before you make the order so we can adjust properly for you.

The small is £99.99 (~$143) and Medium/Large £114.99 (~$165) but that’s before the 10% off!
