It’s not worth to spend much money in it. A usual modification people do in these cars is to put this kind of air intakes. They don’t add power but make your car feel more alive and make a good sound. They’re usually cheap.

How much do you want to spend, I would sell it (no offense) and get something faster (and or more tunable). A good exhaust system (with less cats etc.) together with less restrictive intake and a dyno/chip tune should free up some horses, but don’t expect massive results. You have to be in it for the sound aswell for it to be worth the money. I won’t go cold/ram air intake and keep the stock air box, but in a lot of cars the intake system has some build in restrictions. Mine is filled with ‘walls’, they restrict airflow so that the engine won’t sound as loud but this limits performance. Open it up and see what you can clean up, it’s also a good idea to open up your engine and let someone check the seals and stuff, maybe do a vvt-revision and/or a motorflush if you haven’t been running on the same oil for too long. This will make the engine run smoother and eventually make it last logner, good idea to do if you start tuning, and if you’re engine is seriously old it might just give you 1 or 2 extra horses and more responsiveness. Putting a turbo on it costs a lot of time and money which I don’t think is really worth it, maybe you can do a swap with an engine that was also available in this model in combination with your current gearbox?

I have thought about selling it and buying something else. I just dont know what could be faster yet as durable and in the same price range. Here in Finland car prices are quite high but im open for suggestions. If the outcome of tune will be 1-2 more horsepower, I think it will be just better to change the car.

I would say chip-tune it. Can make it faster and more fuel efficient at the same time, friend has done this with a 106, well worth it.
