I've got a little story I wanted to share with you guys! It's the first time I ever drove a car with a manual.

I had never driven a manual car before, only in sims, and I went to test drive a Scion FR-S. I didn’t want to risk ruining a manual one so I asked for an automatic (don’t kill me it was a valid reason). They didn’t have any on the lot so the salesmen asked if I just wanted to drive the manual. Keep in mind it was a BRAND NEW car with only a few miles on it. I told him the only experience I had was in simulators and he let me drive it anyway! I stalled a couple of times at red lights but other than that I did alright! He also let me drive a manual tC afterward. The guy wasn’t pushy at all either, by far the best salesman I’ve ever dealt with. Also, I’m not entirely sure which community to post this in, so I apologize if it’s in the wrong place. I guess some might call this a win?

I personally love manual transmission, prevents me from falling sleep when I’m driving. The first car that I drove was a Renault Clio with a manual transmission and it was amazing! It feels pretty good to lower a gear and feel that kick or burning out your tire when you’re in a red light. I got a Celica with manual transmission/automatic transmission and I can tell you, is not the same! not even near!. I’m driving a MT again and feels amazing! the only drawback will be the traffic. When you’re stuck at traffic you will have to use the clutch a looot! Learn how to drive stick shift and you will love it for ever! Anyone who knows how to drive a golf car can drive an automatic supercar. Just for the record,learning manual transmission is pretty easy once you get it, if you learn how to change from 1st gear to 2nd gear without any complications, the other gears will be easy. My next car will definitely be a manual! The Fusion is offered in manual, but only the smaller engines and lesser trims. Mine has paddle shifters which are basically useless, but it’s something. I’ll probably pick up a used FR-S in a few years. Unfortunately, my family doesn’t have any cars with a manual transmission I could practice with, so for now it’ll all be in Assetto Corsa! Thank you!
