I heard an impression people say that car guys are "retarded, anti-social and weird". Is this true? Do you consider yourselves that way? I am well respected and not bullied in school.

Same with me. I don’t want to brag but I actually have a lot of friends, and most of them aren’t car guys. Never been bullied in school.

The key to being a car guy and not get bullied or laughed at is that you have to respect other people’s interests. If you always talk about cars around people that aren’t interested in it, and constantly keep telling them they should like cars, and that cars are better than their hobby, and things like that, then you won’t be treated with respect.

And if you get laughed at, just go along with it. Don’t get defensive. You get bullied if you get defensive, because that’s what bullies like.

Yesterday, in a Facebook group chat, we was talking about LeMans. Then this non car guy went “How’s it a sport, you sit in chairs, just driving”
