No way! What happened to German manufacturers? These ugly exhaust tips look so cheap on expensive cars. :’(

I wished it wasn’t true either when I was in Munich but it was what I found when I was checking it if was real or not and that’s what I found.

You pay and expect for premium and you get only a trim. There was a white 6er next to it but there the fake exhausts werent as bad only I dont have a photo of it.

Actually the purpose of these fake exhaust tips is the design because they can not build a real exhaust tip in that shape and thickness. If they produce a real exhaust tip like that, it will reduce the performance, it will be heavy and when there is a problem with the exhaust system, it can’t be replaced or fixed by a mechanic. So they just assemble the normal exhaust system and they put that plastic chrome design to make it look better. That’s my observation about it. But I think this is not a good idea with these expensive luxurious cars and it looks cheap like a ricer. In my opinion, a normal exhaust pipe under the bumper is the best classic design.

On some older 7 series BMW’s they went with that design that it was hidden under the bumper imho that was a better way to deal with the looks than what they have done with this, it draws attention to the wrong parts of the car because overall its a really sleek car.
