The Jaguar F-Type is already one of the sexiest cars on the road, but it’s just been given an aggressive makeover in the form of this hardcore SVR version. A German dealership has accidentally published information about the go faster Jag, which gives us a huge dump of clear photos and in-depth statistics.

It’s not been officially confirmed by Jaguar, but Dutch website Autoblog stumbled across the brochure and posted its findings. The leak reveals that the F-Type SVR will use a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 that’ll have 576bhp, 516lb ft of torque and a 200mph top speed. All-wheel drive helps it achieve 62mph in 3.7 seconds. That means it has 25bhp more than the V8 R Coupe and is 0.4sec faster to 62mph.

To reign in all that extra pace, the SVR gets carbon ceramic brakes, which save 21kg. The weight saving continues with a lightweight titanium exhaust, which shaves another 12kg, and forged aluminium wheels that save another 10kg. Aerodynamic improvements include that aftermarket-looking rear wing (which is claimed to reduce lift by 80 per cent), and a rear diffuser, while larger intakes improve engine and brake cooling.

Jaguar F-Type SVR test mules have been spotted pounding the Nurburgring in testing, confirming that it sounds as good as it looks. The car could make its official debut at the Geneva motor show in March.

Dont know why they put that wing on it, even a lip spoiler at the back would look good - or one like STG

Why did they put it on? The laws of Physics told them to put it on.

that aftermarket-looking rear wing (which is claimed to reduce lift by 80 per cent)

3.7s ? Is that it ? I mean, i’m pretty sure the E63 S is quicker than that…
Plus the lighter but RWD and way less powerful M3 F80 Competition package is pretty much as quick

It’s a supercharged car rather than turbo which explains why it’s not much faster than the F80. It doesn’t have that low down torque off the line.

That “wing” is a spoiler. There is no way that the airflow stays attached on the underside of it.
