The Lister Bell Stratos Replica Makes Me Wonder Why You Would Buy the Real Thing. What About You? Hear Me out.

So Lister Bell make Stratos Replicas to order. It’s a full kit car, which I realise is not everyones cup of tea, but it costs around AU$45K, or have them assemble it to your liking for around AU$60K in total. The thing is if you were to get an original Stratos, you’re paying on average upwards of $400K for a car that would only be as good as you hoped if you were blinded by the Nostalgia goggles. Now I realise owning a genuine Stratos holds an incredibly special historical signifigance only achievable in a genuine one, but hear me out.

The Lister Bell has the same absolutely Staggering looks, interior & image & is completely customisable either as a kit or assembled for you to order. It has the engine from an Alfa romeo which would be easier to find parts for & is more powerful, unless you ordered the version based on a Ferrari Mondial. It has a modern computer, suspension & steering to boot. After I did all this research I found that AUTOCAR did a review of it & compared it to a genuine Stratos, which intrigued me.

So what’s wrong with it? What would you get if you got one, clean or rally spec? Real or Replica? And what is your general opinion on this car (Or any quality replicas, for that matter)? Let me know in the comments. To my knowledge I captioned all the images correctly.
