So ive started to upgrade my BMW 320D M Sport Coupe

Car as Standard

This lovely Specimen; efficient yet still engaging to drive. This is my second car (before was a 1 Liter Corsa D) So it was quite an upgrade from what i was used to. Before this i would of never of thought of getting a dirty diesel but after owning this it really has turned me around. My old corsa was getting there abouts 35 mpg (yes i admit i wasn’t light on the pedal) but with the BMW I was getting about 45.5 mpg with short drives, over 60 on long drives.

Ive now had this car for a bit over 2 years now and i must say its been a great 4 wheeled companion as its has always got me to my destination with out fail even if something has gone catastrophically wrong with it for instance like one of my front steering arm sheared in two whilst me driving on a ** piece of contry road that my lovely satnav told me to take as a detour to save time! ( I maybe saved time but hell did i not save money!) So your probably asking wait you saved time? Doesn’t that mean you still got to your destination? The answer to that is yes! My poor car SLAMS over this pothole (which was more like a hole to hell it was honestly that deep) I then realise that my steering angle is totally out; im talking going straight meant having your steering wheel at a 90 degree angle. Though because I was rushing to get to my destination in time i decide to keep going without checking the car over and just hoping it was the wheel alignment that was out. I then come to a T junction and turn left, well I say turn left I really mean attempt to turn left but all i hear is a horrible scraping sound. I then realise ok maybe this is more serious, so after a 10 minutes I gingerly get to my destination and this is what i come out to see.

So long story short after over £2K, a new set of alloys and lot of huffing and puffing I learnt to avoid any and every pothole!

So to the more exciting part (at least for me) It was about time to get the DPF sorted, the car was now binging at me every time I drove the car, then again what would you expect since the car has now done over 181K miles! I decide to get the DPF & cat removed because it was the cheaper option and well I wanted to get more power, so i was killing two birds with one stone!

I took my car to a garage that my friend works at where they do remaps. Amazingly my car still had 176.4 BHP only 0.6 BHP lost after all this time! Before going over the guys had made my new down-pipe custom made for my car and then fitted it on. The tuning then commenced!

Amazingly the guys were able to get 225 BHP and 452 NM of torque! I must say it was a breath of fresh air when i took it out for a drive and boy is it fast! (beat a Seat Leon Cupra) I think i can happily say that ill be getting more done to the car in the near future!

Yea its great next thing to do will be getting a new intercooler then better injectors and fuel pump and either hybrodise the turbo or get a new one after that though most likely will need uprated internals lol so well see what happens!
