BMW's most powerful engine, the 1986 BMW M12/13/1. A 1.5 litre, turbocharged inline 4 that was said to produce around 1400 HP in qualifying trim. The most powerful engine in F1 history.
Put that engine into an E30 M3 and have a happy drift day…or just some minutes, because that engine, running 1400 HP, won’t last long.

I believe the Honda /Mclaren Driven by Senna produces around 1500 HP. I Might Be Wrong.
Looking for some info, I found this: “Honda’s RA168E was a simple evolution of the 1987 engine, but produced around 675bhp at 12500rpm in race spec, although produced 1000bhp+ in qualifying spec”. Remember that, in that time, power figures over 1000 HP were impossible to be measured accurately.
If you read about these engines when they were making “1400hp” they practically ate themselves up in a couple of laps if I recall correctly.
That the reason I specified “in qualifying trim”. That means something like: “One lap and engine rebuild”. That engine must produce around 600-700 HP in race trim.
