Just how many Pagani Zonda variations are there?
Production Cars
[1999] Pagani Zonda C12
[2002] Pagani Zonda C12-S
[2002] Pagani Zonda S 7.3
[2003] Pagani Zonda S Roadster

[2010] Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster
[2017] Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta
[Total] 10 (≈126 units)
Given Pagani’s highly exclusive approach to building any car, we’re going to have to class ‘Production Cars’ as any Zonda variant produced in numbers greater than 1. Only five units of the Zonda’s first model, the C12, were produced; and of those only one remains in its original state. The S Roadster saw the highest production figures, with 40 units supposedly selling between 2003 and 2006.

Though more one-offs were announced, many of them never actually came to fruition (Zonda 750, Zonda RAK etc.). It’s also worth noting that these are only the cars we know about: some examples may have been built in secret, and delivered to owner’s who’d rather their cars be kept from the public eye. If this is the case, the total number could potentially be upwards of 35.
Race Cars
[2002] Pagani Zonda GR
[2004] Pagani Zonda Monza
[2007] Pagani Zonda R
[2012] Pagani Zonda R Evolution
[2013] Pagani Zonda Revolucion
[Total] 5 (≈21 units)
Pagani’s motorsport endeavours were never the greatest, though this didn’t discourage the marque from building several track-only cars to satisfy their more thrill-seeking clients. The Zonda R is easily the most widely recognised track-focused variant; having set a Nurburgring lap record in 2010 with a time of 6:47. Though Pagani’s last race car ended production in 2014, there’s still a chance that the Huayra will receive similar treatment in the near future.
Production Total
[Total] 45 (≈174 units)
It’s little surprise, really, that Pagani’s one-off Zonda count is near triple that of their ‘standard’ and limited run cars given the nature of the brand. Nevertheless, it’s still incredible to see how Pagani have managed to continuously update a car unveiled almost 20 years ago to meet and exceed modern standards set by manufacturer’s with histories (and budgets) far greater than that of Pagani. It’s a tough choice but, given the opportunity, which one would you have?
Note that the total unit count has taken Zonda rebuilds into consideration: 8 of the one-offs listed above are known to have been built atop existing Zonda chassis’.
