One thing they have in common, non of them can do what they were meant to do.
Demon: Banned from drag racing
Trailhawk: Useless off roader

Keep it up Dodge!

You need a license to run a car faster than 10 seconds (as well as a roll cage).

Add those two things and you’ll be fine. Secondly, it’s TrackHawk.

Trailhawk is a thing, yes, but the TrackHawk has the word “Track” in the name for a reason.

I mean, the demon isnt made to drag race, and the jeep isnt meant to off road.

They are made to apeal to customers enough to sell. The same reason people buy raptors to never drive them off road, or buy a porche and it never see a track.

At 60mph A Citroen 2cv is actually faster than a challenger demon that’s doing 50mph. The more you know ;-)

I guess both? As far as I know there is no production car that is quicker in the 1/4 mile than the Demon. I don’t think any SUV has a higher top speed, from the factor than the Jeep. As far as their direct competitor; I’m guessing BMW X5M and Porsche Cayanne Turbo S for the Jeep and Mustangs and Camaros for the Demon.

So which of those two can beat the car they were meant to beat?

I mean, the Demon doesn’t really have any competitors (outside of the COPO Camaro, Cobra Jet Mustang and Drak Pak Challengers).

The TrackHawk hasn’t even been compared to anything (directly) yet either. What I want to see is a comparison between the TrackHawk, Stelvio QV and Durango SRT.

I know they’re all from the same parent company but I’d still like to see how they compare against each other.

Dodge: Look I made Demon 840BHP, and max speed are 168mph.
Jeep: Hold my beer.

Never liked what Dodge has done with the Demon nor the way they reacted to the NHRA. It’s almost insulting to their costumers the way they handled the situation .t’s like they think people are mentally 12 and only care about stats and titles. “Fastest quarter mile car, it’s so fast it’s banned! Check this letter we got !”. The letter literally said the car is considered unsafe for its class as it has no roll over protection and all they got from that was “too fast to race omg!”.

Anyone with a 9-second car without a roll cage would be told that the car was unsafe to run without the person in question getting a “9-second license” and putting the roll cage in their car. It’s not just Dodge dude.

The difference is that those other cars wouldn’t have been that fast from the factory. They would’ve been highly upgraded aftermarket gems. Dodge was able to make a car that fast from the factory. That’s where the appeal is. I mean, tell me of another production car that was “too fast” (without the proper license and protection) from the factory? That in itself is pretty cool to me.

I don’t understand how anyone could find that insulting. Maybe it’s a bit much perhaps, but I don’t understand how I could be insulted from owning a car that can run 9-seconds and lift the front tires (another thing other production cars can’t do).

While I don’t think they should’ve cut the part about needing a roll cage to run faster than 10 seconds, it’s not like what they said isn’t true. The Demon is indeed too fast to race if you plan on going 9-seconds without abiding by the requirements that come with it.

I mean, if you were banned from the local go-karting track for being “unfairly” fast, wouldn’t that be a testament to your speed? I’d take that with a bit of pride honestly (with a bit of sorrow that I couldn’t race at that track anymore haha).

TL;DW basically the Demon has drag tires for the strip, where the trackhawk has all around speed tires. Put new tires on the Demon and it would be faster
