Some deranged soul has cut up and transformed a Dodge Viper into a 10-seat, V8-powered automatic limo

No, this isn’t April Fool’s Day and no, we haven’t suddenly become very good with Photoshop. This is a real, genuine Dodge Viper limo - and that fact is only a headline among a sea of questionable details. If you really fancy it, it’s up for sale.

Seemingly based on an SRII RT/10, the chassis has been massacred and increased to some length. The exact measurement isn’t mentioned in the listing, but a previous Facebook Marketplace advert suggests 7.6 metres - a figure we can wholly believe.

No doubt some (lots) of chassis rigidity has been lost in adding an extra three metres, but whoever carried out the conversion at least went to the lengths of adding a second roll bar behind all of the seats. Speaking of, there are 10 seatbelts in the car including the two up front, but if you want to use this as a static party location, there’s space for 12 apparently.

That many people in a V10-powered car notorious for a lack of driver assists and being on-edge to drive sounds like a recipe for disaster. Well, hold on for a second, because that’s not the exact formula here.

No, there’s no ABS upgrade or new traction control system here. Rather, the Viper’s signature 10-cylinder has been swapped out for a 360 CID Mopar V8. However much power it's making here (we can only assume no dyno in the world is big enough to find out) is now sent through an automatic gearbox rather than a six-speed manual. On the plus side, the advert does assure us power steering is included.

In case you’re curious, or an outright lunatic, Gateway Classic Cars in St Louis, Missouri, has this Viper listed for $169,000.
