Anyway…
Maybe because they gave the American to develop a Japanese car? That’s why it feels like a good car, but not as pure like an American sports car or Japanese sports car would. Just speculating.
I think we all knew it would not have the same rawness as the old one but that pretty much applies to all new cars nowadays, i think we are still lucky that Honda even decided to create the new gen NSX in the first place.
It looks gigantic compared to the original…
Yeah but the new NSX isn’t what the Ford GT was to the GT40, more what the 2016 Ford GT is to GT40. They’ve missed the point of the new NSX. Both the old and the new NSX were and are (and I hate to use the phrase) “pushing the envelope”, hence the X standing for eXperimental. The new NSX is a successor to what the original represented, not what it was physically.
Soo this is kinda the new GT-R. You are not driving it fast, the computers are…
why is everybody ramming on how its not like the old NSX? it’s not mandatory that you compare. it’s ruining the reputation of a fine car.
So basically the reviews for the new one are exactly the same as the ones for the old one when it was released. I remember Clarkson ranting about how tame it was and that it didn’t scare him so he didn’t like that about it. The rest I think is just plain nostalgia. Saying the old one is better because it didn’t have computers is just wrong. The old NSX was just as packed with the cutting edge technology of its day as is the new one, You want an example? Roll back the clock 25 years, that would be 1965. Sure enough, the NSX is packed with computers compared to Mustang. I miss the cars of old, but the rest is just nostalgia goggles.
I like it….
The steering is numb
