Watch The Incoming Ford Focus 'RS500' Bomb Around The Nordschleife

We've been expecting an even hotter version of the Focus RS for a while, and now this rest mule has been spotted lapping the Nurburgring

Judging by the latest batch of rumours and speculation, Ford’s hotter RS - which may or may not be dubbed ‘RS500’ - is expected to have a big increase in power from the standard car’s 345bhp 2.3-litre turbocharged engine, and a lower weight figure. By the looks of the test mule - seen wearing a pair of bonnet vents similar to the last RS500 - is also riding a little lower on lower profile tyres. Could it end up being faster than the Mercedes-AMG A45 and Audi RS3 uber hatches? We’ll have to wait and see…

These hatchbacks are looking more and more like estates.

I have no issue with this.

Are you sure? I mean the Rs500 would be camouflaged as hell.. Will it have another engine? 5cyl maybe?

I’d love for them to develop a double clutch gearbox for this increased output car, would be a supercar killer for sure

They spelled test mule wrong in the sub title. This focus isn’t doing much resting.
