In case you missed the news recently, Hennessey is cooking up something that’s quite clearly intended to ride the wave of Dodge Challenger Demon hype. It’s called the Exorcist (see what they did there?), and it’s a 1000bhp tuning package for the Camaro.
In this first dyno video, the LT4 V8 - now complete with a larger supercharger, ported cylinder heads, upgraded camshafts and much more besides - belts out an unholy (or righteous?) 959RWHP.
In the video description, Hennessey poses the question: “Will this be enough to cast out The Demon?” Nice.

Fighting power with more power. best idea ever
Comparing the exorcist to the demon is pointless. As many have said before, the demon is a FACTORY car whereas the exorcist is a tuned car. Any one can take a car and throw parts on it to make it fast but to have one be this quick off the production line is a whole different story. And at the moment, chevy and ford don’t have anything to compete with the demon.
You want something to compete against the exorcist? Take one of the hundreds of 1000hp supras or gtrs. Those would be a better race than a factory prepared dodge challenger.
Did everyone miss the memo where Hennessey also said they would make a 1500hp version of the Demon? Making the whole demon vs exorcist showdown pointless
If the Hennessey Venom does the 1/4 mile in 9.9 seconds, and the Dodge Demon does the quarter mile in 9.65 seconds, my money is on the Demon over the Exorcist in a head to head drag race
