Try Not To Clench As A 911 GT2 RS Suffers A 180mph Blowout
Monza is not a track for the faint of heart. The home of the Italian Grand Prix is fast and has very little run-off in places, which is what makes this onboard track day video particularly scary.
The driver of a 991 GT2 RS is seen approaching the ‘Variante del Rettifilo’ Turn 1 chicane at over 180mph when the rear-left tyre explodes. Thankfully, he’s able to hold it and keep the car out of the wall with some well-timed applications of opposite lock. We’re pretty sure this qualifies as a ‘code brown’.
In the description, the uploader notes that the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres had already been used for 60 laps of the Nurburgring at the point of the blowout. “That’s my lessons [sic] of that day, if you go on serious track just be serious and put [on] new tires!” he concludes.

Something, something smart. First comment!
Punctures are always scary but this guy used his tires for more than 1000 kilometers on track
Got some big balls there… respect
I bet that’s not the only blowout he had
Skills.
