Cadillac has been expanding the CTS lineup with the latest generation of the car, introducing a coupe and wagon models to join the sedan. However, that seems to be the extent of the expansion.

Edmunds Inside Line talked with a Cadillac official at yesterday's showing for the CTS Coupe and Wagon about a convertible - getting a firm answer. "Nope," he said, "no convertible. With the arrival of the coupe, the CTS line is complete."

Well, there you have it - for now at least it seems as if the CTS won't be getting a convertible that would help it compete against the Infiniti G37 Convertible, Lexus IS Convertible and others in the segment. The BMW 3-Series is perhaps the gold standard for the segment, with its complete lineup of sedan, coupe, wagon and convertible.
