If You Find Ford Fiesta ST Too Hot To Handle, Get A Fiesta ST-Line

Want something that looks like a Fiesta or Focus ST with a little less grunt and cheaper running costs? Ford has you in mind with its new Zetec S-replacing ST-Line trim
If You Find Ford Fiesta ST Too Hot To Handle, Get A Fiesta ST-Line

While the car above might look something like a Fiesta ST, it isn’t. It’s actually the ST-Line. It’s a new trim level available for the Fiesta and the Focus, and as well as a bunch of ST-like details - a bodykit, new wheels, a festooning of ST-Line badges and sports seats - you also get 10mm lower sports suspension.

If You Find Ford Fiesta ST Too Hot To Handle, Get A Fiesta ST-Line

The new trim package is available on the Fiesta with either a 94bhp 1.5 TDCi diesel or a 138bhp 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol (pro tip, get the petrol). On the Focus meanwhile, you’ve the choice of the same 1.0-litre EcoBoost in the lower, 123bhp state of tune, or a 1.5-litre with 182bhp. If those outputs sound familiar, that’s because these are the same engines available with the Zetec S Fiesta and Focus, a trim level now replaced - along with the Red and Black editions - with the new ST-Line.

If You Find Ford Fiesta ST Too Hot To Handle, Get A Fiesta ST-Line

Want one? Fiesta ST-Line prices start at £15,645, while for the Focus ST-Line you’ll need at least £20,595, and there’s another two ST-Line badged Ford models on the way if neither floats your boat.

Our advice? Unless fuel economy and insurance is a big deal, make the jump to the full-fat ST models. Particularly in the case of the Fiesta, you won’t regret it.

It doesn’t look like ST cars though.. It looks like normal focuses and fiestas with black grilles, kinda like Zetec-S always has been. Calling it ST line sounds a bit stupid to me, but Ford did the same before when giving RS styling to normal Sierra’s and stuff

Honestly, I might get Sh*t on for this opinion, but I like it. Its cheaper, Looks Good and insurance wise, its well cheaper than its bigger Brother. Especially when you’re a younger driver like me

It’s the same engine that was in the red/black edition and it’s actually pretty fast, I struggled to keep up in a little dual carriageway pull literally a few days. Mind you my clutch was on it’s final days and had just started slipping and I was one passenger up

So basically a couple of name changes? I suppose it’s good for marketing…

In about 10 years, I’d bet these things would be awesome first cars. dirt cheap to buy and insure, but still fairly fun

Whats up with these 1 1/2 “Lines” anyways i dont understand why they do this. Like normal Audis with a S Line or BMW and Mercedes with their M or AMG Package.

Ford’s response to Honda’s Vtec is Zetec.
