Gasp, Motor Trend picks a Ford over a Golf.
Well one was built by a car company and the other was built by lying cheating greedy bastards who struggled to build an engine without resorting to under hand tactics in their push to be the biggest car company in the world at any price.
The motoring press by an overwhelming majority declared the 2016 Focus RS to be phenomenal. Now we have weasel articles like this taking a petulantly contrary view. Look, I’m 67 years of age and I was in the market for the best handling hatch I could afford. I wanted a car that would corner like no other. Sorry the VW is not in the same league. And don’t bleat on about comfort and how uncomfortable it is to climb into Recaro shell seats.
Those who bought a VW Golf R wanted performance didn’t they? Well sorry they got second best.
Oh is that what we’re doing now? Pretending cars shouldn’t be compared when the one we like loses? Ok. Well I’m glad, because the new Camaro beats my Mustang by quite a bit in the performance category, so I’ll say it’s not fair to compare them because the new Mustang was designed to be more comfortable and therefor it’s not fair to even compare the two cars. #Logic
