why are underbody neon lights or ground affects considered "rice"? Is there any right way to do them?

I disagree, you can have under glow but it has to be the right car. If you put it on your ‘96 Honda accord, its rice, but I saw a Audi R8 with under glow, and it actually looked good.

It’s people hating what’s different. I have had Neons under 2 of my own cars as well as other lights. The internet despises me in this regard, but ever single time someone sees my car, I get nothing but compliments.

Also, RICE:
Racing
Inspired
Cosmetic
Mod

I didn’t know that neons and other such things were inspired from Racing vehicles on closed circuits until the internet told me.
So by internet standards, there is no right way to install lighting under your vehicle, but by true car guy standards, just install the damned things and enjoy the work you put into your car.

I have the Streetglow 4Million LED kit under my car and I think it looks great. It has gotten me a lot of flak everywhere on the internet, but guess what, I don’t care.
If you want me to take them off, give me the money they are worth and money for the labor I put in and I will take them off.
