Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement - a car with unnecessary body kit/wings/alloy wheels and few (if any) engine and performance modifications to back up the ‘race look’ body. This does make it hard to tell from a photo if something is rice because you can’t see what is under the bonnet. (this is my personal definition)
Some people will say that a car with an exhaust and alloys is rice.
I’ve also seen people call stanced cars rice. It is important to note that these cars aren’t riced they are stanced.
Then there is a breed of person who will call a Honda Civic rice. Again these are not rice, just Civics.
The word is literally misused more than the word literally itself. It’s also important to know I didn’t use the word ‘taste’. People modify cars to their taste because car modifying isn’t something people do to conform, and everyone forgets that.
