In Turbo Yoda's workshop! So excitement. Such boost.
Dropped off my Toyota 86 GTS this afternoon to the AM Auto workshop in Noosaville to get one of the first Coyoda Technologies BR86 turbo kits installed! This is a professional kit with a factory-install look, designed by Turbo Yoda and Coyote Tuning. It has a water-to-air intercooler with a CNC machined housing, cast iron headers, custom-designed front-mount turbo manifold, CNC machined billet turbo oil sump, and all high-quality components. It looks so factory that from the top you can barely tell it’s a boost kit and not just an intake kit (it even uses the front half of the stock air box). I’m away in Melbourne this week while it gets the install and tune and I cannot wait to drive it Monday week!

Awesome! Going to be a proper weapon when you come back to it haha
I hope so! I’m only going low boost for the moment - 8psi. I’ve got to sort out my oil cooling situation also. After that will think about a plex tuning PBC boost controller … to go over 12 psi reliably I’ll need forged internals so will be pretty conservative with it. Nonetheless it will go from 114 kW at the wheels currently to around 200 kW on 98 RON (225 kW if I lived near reliable E85 supplies, but I don’t, so I’m not gonna).
Come to ingleburn mate we’ve got ICHIBAN
This is what it looks like installed in an engine bay (not mine, this is install #1, I am install #2 or #3). Note direct path of intercooler air straight into the throttle body. The compressor is attached directly to the bottom of the intercooler. Note the separate coolant overflow bottle (red coolant, to contrast to the blue coolant so you know which is which) for the intercooler just to its left.
very unicorn wow
It wil have unicorn farts to the moon, I hope!
Awesome!
Am I the only one that read the title in Moog’s voice? lol
I am so envious :O
Picking it up, fully tuned, Monday afternoon.
