My new SR20 project, Belt drive system

One step in re-drawing and re-engineering the SR20 engine is to simplify the belt drive system.
On my SR20 engine i uses for autocross, i already removed the power steering. By removing all inner components of the powersteering pump and remove all hoses.

To further simplify and loss more weight. mounting a smaller alternator on the postion of the powersteering pump.
With this setup, you can loose weight by removing 1 belt, power steeringpump + bracket. smaller and lighter alternator.
and making a smaller crank pulley

and you have much more clearance between the belt drive system and the chassis.

single belt system for the FWD SR20, WO powersteering

test Fit

The test fit with quick and dirty bracket, and with the alternator of a GA16 engine i had laying around the workshop.

and a smaller crankshaft pulley. wih optinal 60-2 trigger wheel.. going to use a aftermarket ECU. and if you didnt spot the GTI-R intake manifold. that is also on the smaller project im going to re-draw and improve.
