Looking for a car <90hp
Hello,
I’m looking for a car (in France) which is under 90hp because I got my license 1 year ago and I can’t insure a car "too powerful".
One condition… NO Renault - Fiat or Peugeot (I just hate those brands, peugeot even more, or maybe you could convince me to buy one)
Comments
mercedes 190e or 190d, base models start from 70-ish horsepower, reliable, cheap, good quality and simple
or W124 coupe ! which is basically the same car as 190
both are RWD, they are so much fun to drive
Mazda 323F BG or BF with 1.6 16 valve or 1.5. both cars are around 88 HP.
Sadly, none of these are for sale in my region. Thanks anyway
240 volvo
Toyota Starlet
buy a honda civic… its so slow you cant crash
Go away hater
Buy a 1.2 Polo.
Fiesta?
New Twingo 1.0 70KM is nice, based on same platform, as new Smart, but cheaper. Fun to drive, RWD! Maybe you can accept it.
Ford Fiesta is nice looking car, comes with 1.25 (60 hp or 80 hp) or 1.0 (80 hp).
VW Polo is also nice, 1.0; 1.2 or 1.4 available below 90hp.
Hyundai i20, KIA Rio will also do. Rio looks quite nice, in fact, as for a cheap, entry level car.
The best bet would be a small French Hatchback e.g. Peugeot 106. 1.1L 60BHP (I know you said you didnt want one) but the insurance is the cheapest I could find and Its fun and cheap in every way because it is efficient. If you really dont want the Peugeot, buy a Citroen Saxo. They are the same car so they are just as fun as each other but you get a Citroen instead of the Peugeot :D
Your other option is a smart roadster. The insurance is going to be a lot more expensive but it is about just as fun as the 106 and it has a 0.7L producing 60BHP. But they are going to be expensive to buy.
