I have a question, what's better, a Toyota MR2 or Honda Prelude.

The reason I ask is I currently have a Prelude but there are a couple of MR2s up for sale near where I live at the moment.

It’s all on your personal preference. I’d recommend whichever is better condition/cheaper

MR2, without a doubt. Prelude is just lacklustre in comparison. Unless you deal with winter… In which case, MR2 will try to kill you

Illinois winter vs one was just a bunch of fun slides in snow

make sure the mr2 is mechanically sound because working on MR cars are not as easy as a car with the engine in the front. but MR2 all the way anyways.

Preludes are more practical (?), but it doesnt seem as abundant in character compared to the MR2, so, MR2 if you want fun but slightly risky driving. Prelude, for manageability.
