Dear Mr.Regular If you could travel to any location in the world and bring 3 cars with you, where would you go and what cars would you bring?
Cape Town, South Africa
Land Rover from 1987 Kawasaki KLR650 (cheating) Econoline Van.
You have the possibility to built a DeLorean in 2015 totally new from scrach , new materials same design and body , but it has to be electric . Will you do that or not ?
If it is not my dime…yes
Z4 or S2000?
S2000. Holds it’s value better and there’s a bit of myth surrounding that will make it easy to sell.
Hello Mr. Regular!
Love your videos, always something welcome that pops out of my rather monotonous suggested playlist of strange softcore youtube not-pornography and sweary trap remixes of children’s television shows.
I would like to ask, how do you write so well? The scripting behind each video and each analogy hits the spot every time - not only that, you have to have an insane knowledge of not only the mechanical aspects of cars, but the history behind them to be able to commentate as you do.
In other words, what did you used to do or study to get to where you are today?
Cheers, Chi
Hello Mr. Regular sir.
My girlfriend and I love your videos and always make sure we catch the latest one. You have an amazing way of explaining how things work and we have both learned a lot from you.
My question to you is how do you come up with your intro songs? Is there a lot of time involved or is just a spur of the moment whatevers pops in your head first sort of deal?
Thanks for your kind words. I don’t think I am as smart as you hope I am. The roman and I come from journalistic backgrounds. I worked as a stringer reporter for a small time. We’ve been writing for long enough before I created RCR, that it was a muscle already trained.
See, I don’t know how to respond to such a flattring question because, from my perspective we are NOT writing well. I look at the /Drive team and UK Top Gear as what is proper automotive journalism
Clarkson, Farah, Spinelli and J.F. are the real pros. We’re the kids in the corner of the playground…playing grab-ass.
Mr. Regular, what should my first car be?The approximate budget is going to be around 2k euros. Was thinking about an mx5
That’s gonna be tough buddy. For under 3k USD (converted) all the MX5’s you find will be heaps and you will be inhering the previous owner’s problems. Stick to something boring, like a Toyota Tercel or whatever well Pacific Rim cars you get over there.
For a little bit over that budget I’m going to get a Toyota mr2 spyder as my first carwhich is a competitor of the mx5 and cheap to insure, so that may be a good suggestion on what to get, hope this was helpful :)
Dear Mr. Regular, Hi, I love your shows, they’re entertainingly funny reviews. Anyway, my question is: what was your favorite car you have ever reviewed? Thanks :)
That would be the Toyota MR2 AW11
Favorite Car?
1989 Toyota MR2 AW11 SC (Supercharged). I don’t own one. But that is my dream car. It’s hard to find AW11’s that are still stock. They suffer from the same wrathful hand of guy-dude-bros as RX-7’s and S13’s.
What is your dream car? Also If you had too pick one Rally Car to have forever what would it be?
1989 Toyota MR2 AW11 SC
Everyone says “22b when they talk about rally cars. I would rather have one of those early Quattors.
Hello, what car/cars do you own and where do you find your inspiration for your videos?
I own a 2007 Honda Fit. Inspirations: Red Letter Media The Smoking Tire China IL. /Drive Geoffrey Chaucer Theodore Dreiser The Kid Stays in the Picture all of Rich Hall’s film documentaries.
You know that you’re actually irregular. Are you aware of the irony? Is it deliberate?
